We were staying onsite at the Motor Inn and thought we'd try here for dinner. The outlook to the outside pool and Seating area was nice, the palm trees were lit up at night, and inside the tables weren't crowded together, it was warmly lit and very comfortable. The prices are normal restaurant prices, as it is a restaurant. You don't come here expecting a cheap cafe meal. It's a great place for larger groups and functions, as there is plenty of room, and the bar is very well equipped with a nice bar Seating for pre-dinner drinks.
We ordered the Garlic Turkish Bread and Pea, Mint & Basil Arancini Cakes as starters. Both were delicious, very fresh, and good portion sizes. The Cakes are a great vegetarian option.
For mains we ordered the Zucchini, Haloumi & Mint Fritters, w/Quinoa, Tomato & Mint Salad and the 1824 Char-grilled Scotch Fillet. The fritters dish was huge, and after starters there was just no way we could finish it, so credit for the great portion size. The dish was light and the salad very fresh, the flavour did get quite strong towards the end, and would probably make another great starter dish as a smaller portion. The Fillet was cooked as requested, a great dish at usual restaurant prices.
For dessert we both shared the Sticky Date Pudding with Icecream, and we struggled through this just because of the amount of food we'd already eaten. It was fresh, soft, and definitely seemed homemade.
We really enjoyed our meal here. It was quiet, relaxing, staff were friendly, we weren't rushed and could just sit back and enjoy the good food.

Have eaten at countless seafood restaurants therefore I'm hard on this one and yet it was better than average, just not amazing. Not much choice with regards to selection of fish.. Barramundi was fresh and affordable. Prices are fair at this venue, not overpriced like many ! Yes would eat there again calamari was tender , .but one thing I will say did not impress me was their potato scallops, again they were Highly processed..not the nice fresh slices of soft potato I have been accustomed too.......Uggg,but other than that pretty good.

Stopped by here for takeaway. Good selection to choose from at reasonable prices. Got our food home and ate like kings. Very tasty and plentiful. The spices did not overpower the food flavours but rather enhanced them. But be warned. The hot spice is hot. Not to the detriment of flavour though. We’ll be back and next time we will eat in because it looks relaxed and friendly. In fact if the young staff that served us are any example the dine in service should be terrific. Those young kids were happy, polite and it just made it all taste that much better. Thank you.

Wonderful location with great views but the lunch menu was basic. Furthermore, it was not gluten free friendly which made our choices limited! Staff were indifferent....rushed us and our meals....and cleaning up around us so it wasnt relaxing at all! All in all rather disappointing...

Fish and chips was excellent and reasonably priced.
Kiosk closes about 5pm as does the nearby toilet block (but there are toilets under Pavilion on top near other carpark.
For a nice cheap feed and an ice cream overlooking Horseshoe Bay as the sun drops though, it can't be beat.

We come to SWR almost every year and everytime we visit the Cantonese Inn. It was exceptional again and we enjoyed eating in and take out. The staff was friendly and food quick. This is a regional Chinese so you should always order the old favourites that they are good at eg beef in black bean, Mongolian lamb, chicken and almonds etc. This is good country Chinese, don’t expect city Asian.

We came here for dinner on our first night on our Australia Day holiday. The place was really busy with families, couples and groups. Was a fun environment right in town and by the beach. Both our dinners were good and they had a good bar menu. My partner actually even won some kind of scratcher promotion for Coopers with his drink order. Bonus.

When we entered Paragons we were greeted with a smile and were told there would be a wait - before we ordered - we expected that across the peak period.
It was also fine with us given the pizzeria was walking distance (everything in SWR is!) and we could come back.
We had a large order for two families and we were not disappointed. One of the best pizzas I have ever had. Very moorish, not greasy and fresh.
This is a little unassuming restaurant down a side lane. If you choose to order a pizza I’d recommend you order and then return to pick it up. The park and beach are just across the road, a great way to wait for an awesome meal!

Authentic Italian gelato and sorbets made fresh on the premises using premium ingredients. Gluten, dairy and nut free options. Segafredo Zanetti espresso coffee.
Stopped in as part of family escape to the rocks. This shop is a little gem! Fantastic tasting gelato with large servings! Excellent service especially from the young lad that works there.
Have a gelato and sit on the new wooden bench overlooking the boulders or let the kids run it off in the new park!

I must first say the service was very good, with friendly attentive staff. Having said that, I felt the meals themselves were small, pricey & overrated in their description. I don't mind paying good dollars for great food, but to still be hungry after your meal is not on. Three fatty crumbed cutlets with a small serving of sides is the classic mutton dressed up as lamb meal that you could get from any pub for half the price. I think the overall standard of your dining experience in SWR is so low that anything slightly above the average may appear outstanding. Good garlic bread.
