Enjoyed a traditional Choucroute, Cordon Bleu and a fabulous Tarte Flambé with goat cheese/bacon. Everything was as-expected, with efficient and congenial Waitstaff. The hot, fudgy chocolat chaud dessert (with salted caramel ice cream) was shared by my daughter and I. She would give that 5-stars alone. I would say the restaurant is more 3.5 stars but because of the other meals I saw being served, our lovely dessert, and pleasant efficient staff, I've rounded-up to a 4. Would return again because we left with a such good feeling about our evening.

We ate here after arriving in the evening in May. The interior was attractive. The five of us all had different dishes and each enjoyed them.We ate here twice in the 4 days in Obernai . They have a good menu with a variety of choices and the staff was friendly , spoke English and were very efficient. It was recomended by the B&B where we stayed and was an excellent choice. It was very reasonably priced.

We loved this restaurant, it was definitely our favourite on the trip. We had the foie gras and snails to start then the duck which was cooked to perfection with a delicious sauce, we finished with the wonderful ice cream profiteroles. We'll definitely be back.

We had lunch here today - service and advise was great. I had a mozzarella and tomato salad followed by a Baeckoffe Canard - far too much food but fabby - Id suggest dropping the starter to have enough room. Rick had the terrine au maison which was excellent and the Baeckoffe with four meats - I think they were stunned he finished it! We shared a beautifully light creme brulee. Delicious!

We enjoyed our dinner here this evening just returning from Italy where we enjoyed the gourmet food.
My wife had the menu and I had a starter and a main course. Starters were really great and surprising in flavor. The main courses were good but more traditional (as could be expected). We had an excellent bottle of languedoc wine - the more expensive one - and concluded with espressos and a cognac each. Total expense was 110 euros which we consider good value for money.
We consider revisiting when in the neighborhood.

It was a wonderful dinning experience, they reserved the table in the room with fire place aside, so tranquil and elegant. The food was good as usual, creativity and inspiring. What I would like to praise the most is the service improve a lot! We were actually a bit late due to the bad weather, somehow the chef was waited to give us a warm greeting which surprised me a lot. I can feel the atmosphere in the room had a little bit adjusted, from the music to the service, everyone seemed to be more relaxed when served, they made me feel cozy and friendly!
Definitely I would like to go back again soon, maybe I'll book for it once the new summer menu comes out.

Dined here last year and we were keen to return. Last year we booked via their website, but this wasn't working this year, so popped in at lunchtime when we arrived in Obernai to book for that evening. You will need to book - only one service per table, and several people were turned away. Service perhaps a little slow, but this appears to be a husband & wife team (him alone in the kitchen, she alone serving), so not really surprising, and certainly for us worth the wait. We shared foie gras starter, then I had quenelles de foie & chips, husband had veal cordon bleu. All excellent, though portions huge and couldn't manage a pudd. Lovely place, will def go again.

It was nice to find something open in the evening that wasn't a full on meal. Just a light sit down snack. The crepes were okayish but a bit rubbery. Charged quite a bit more for lemon which was really only a thin decorative slice. Nothing you could actually get any juice out of. I thought the server / owner? was standoffish actually so it didn't make for a great atmosphere.

We had noticed this small restaurant open during the day but it was closed Monday night. On Tuesday night it was open so we decided to try their menu degustation at E15 for an entre, a pasta main and the dessert of our own choice.
The meal was delicious and the servings just the right size. The waiter was attentive, spoke good English and we were not rushed through the courses.
The hot chocolate is a good finish to the meal.
If we had time, we would certainly go to Le Mercerie again.

Just wanted a light lunch and many of the restaurants were serving main meals. This little restaurant looked bright and fresh. We sat outside along the busy pedestrian street. My husband had the tartine Munster - a bretzel with good quality ham, Munster cheese accompanied by a large salad with lots of different fresh ingredients and all for 10 euros. I had the tarte fromage blanc - the portion was enormous but it was so light in texture. Friendly service and obviously popular with locals.
