Since we opened over ten years ago, Los Almendros Restaurant has been rated the Number 1 restaurant in Esterillos! We are in the top 10 of over 800 restaurants in the entire province of Puntarenas! We are committed to food sustainability and we use only fresh, local ingredients to create world fusion flavors. Our menu has an eclectic and unique selection of Caribbean, Asian and local dishes. Our dishes are accompanied with green seasonal salads and seasonal fresh sauteed veggies as well as our famous Caribbean Rice ‘en Beans which is cooked with homemade organic coconut milk. Our bar is beautiful with an excellent wine selection as well as unique house-crafted cocktails and craft beer on Tap!! We are located in the heart of Esterillos Oeste, three doors west of the soccer field on the road between Super Sol and the Soccer Field. We are open from 4 pm - 10 pm and are closed on Sundays. We accept all major credit cards as well as cash in US Dollars or local currency (Colones).
Very beautiful spot underneath beach "almendro" trees, The bar has a great selection of craft beers and creative mixed drink menu, as well as local Kombucha! The menu has a interesting fusion of Caribbean and asian cuisine with many choices for vegetarian options. the Pad Thai was my favorite dish, also veggies and tofu in Jerk sauce!
best taste, service and value on Central Pacific Coast!

Small bar/restaurant with a beautiful view of the pristine beach at Esterillos Este. Live American style music. Food was pretty good, not great. Service was friendly and good. Family friendly. Despite location right on the water, amazingly NO ocean breezes and it was quite warm sitting outside there in the evening. Ceiling fans were on but did not seem to generate any air flow.

Clean and tidy restaurant. Attentive Staff and the fod was simply gorgeous. The road is a little noisy, they should place some sound barriers as it was a little irritating with big trucks going by often. The Steak was delicious.

Provision of heaven with the most delicious pizza across the Central Pacific. Les e offer delicious breakfasts, Costa Rican and international food type, mixed seafood, octopus, fish, shrimp and special ceviche according to taste. It will be a pleasure to serve.
We have been to El Mana several times now. We've tried several different types of pizza. My favorites are the Caprichosa and the bacon and mushroom. His favorite is their signature pizza, El Mana. Our restaurant offers excellent dishes inspired by the cuisine of New Orleans and local cuisine . We offer homemade bread , grilled meat cuts and more. Come and enjoy our cozy atmosphere with family and friends !!
We were surprised to fine the Cajun-inspired items on the menu, but it was a pleasant surprise when the food arrived. Very tasty.
I would say "Cajun inspired," rather than Cajun, think of it is a sort of fusion-cuisine place.
Patacones were delicious, came with three sauces -- the guac was odd, but tasted OK, the other sauces were delicious. I had a chicken po-boy, which was a generous portion with very nice fries. others at out table tried the shrimp po-boy and the "gumbo," which was more of a plate of tasty seafood than a gumbo, but tasted very good.
Be careful if you go to the restrooms around back, if it is raining, the pavers are very slippery.
In sum, sort of an odd experience and menu, but the food was tasty .

My wife and I ate here twice so far on our trip to Costa Rica from England. The food is incredible and the guys make you feel really welcome. Jonathan served us on both occasions and made us feel at home.
I strongly recommend the steak.
The owners have a cat who is also really friendly and took a liking to my wife.

An afternoon snack or the best way to spoil your dinner. Many bright colors greet you both outside and in. They sport many flavors. We had a vanilla and maracuya (passion fruit)with mango and mora (blackberry)sauce. They specialize in yogurts and soft ice cream. The service was bilingual. Nice experience

Sha's Cafe' en Costa Rica is a cozy, relaxed, artistic, Italian soul with the typical Latin passion. Excellent customer service and personalized service.
Presentation was ok but cheese was a strange kind of slummy melted cheese.
Bacon was a weirdo stuff that seems to be recomposed bacon.
Finally the fruit juice didn't any flavor nor sweetness such as if fruit were not ripen enough
Tables behind us were not clean in spite of low attendance.
