Brežice Renaissance castle is a nice local museum with even too many different collections of their history, local paintings and with really excellent big hall with Baroque frescoes. You can skip some collections but the hall is a must. When a visitor is tired after visit he needs to go the town to rest and to drink a cup of coffee

In addition to providing information, the Catez ob Savi Tourist Information Centre offers a wide variety of free tourist publications presenting local attractions, events and organized tourist packages for an unforgettable experience. Our offer includes a variety of tourist publications and books on Brezice, postcards, T-shirts with motifs of Brezice and typical souvenirs.
Pools in Terme Catez are really perferct! This is what I can say for hotels, too and for the service. But, if you expect anything more, like great and wild night life, this is not a place for you. Perfect for families with small kids or for couples on the beginning of the relationship.

Slovenia is full of old Castles, but this one has an extremely and variable history by different owners, during many decades. One of them (for example) Traptist Monks (silence monks), time during Second World War, among others. In this renowned castle, there are many different kind of collections and Exhibitions just going on inside. Authentic goods, furniture, clothes, paintings etc can be seen during walking around the castle. From time of traptist monks, there still exist some manufacturing companies, which has their roots from those times (at the end of 1800 - 1949).
You should reserve several hours for visiting this castle and surroundings. Can be recommended, during winter season no rush times at all.

The whole place is just beautiful. You can visit small villages all around the Zumberak hills in a car, but the best way to experiance this beautiful nature is on a bike.
Maybe it wouldn't be the easiest way because here the road is all up and down but it's worth it.
You can also go hiking, there are many trails to go on foot.
We aim to make it not just the best canoeing trip in Brezice, but the best ‘true adventure’ experience in the city! Our goal is to offer quality service in the adventure of Canoeing on the river Krka. On the trip with Kanu Krka you will see beautiful landscape such as wineyards, fields, etc. Of special importance are karst Springs which contain endemic species of subterranean animal life, in addition to that Krka is among richest Slovenian rivers fish wise. River Krka is emphasized by the disappearing legacy of bygone water-mills, preserved wooden Bridges and settlements on its banks. Place by the river(meeting point) includes beach area, picnic areas, chemical toilet, shower, free parking place, changing rooms and it is only 6km away from Terme Catez. It is an excellent spot for barbecue, relaxing, playing various outdoor sports (beach Volleyball, badminton court playing area, little children playing area,etc.). We treat all our guests like our friends. Hope to see you soon!

WHO ARE WE? Our family has had this farm for 26 years. Since we are all big fans of animals, our farm has been growing, and this year we decided to show it to public and opened a small Animal Park. Our park is a home of many animals; domestic and exotic. On our farm, people can see Shetland and mini ponies, zebu cows, various types of pigs (Mangalica, Konekune, Minnesota pig), various types of chickens, geese, ducks, and pigeons. Moreover, we have a black swan, nandu, gutteta Guinea fowl, grey crowned crane, various small birds, turaco, etc. We also offer a rich horticulture and a playground for children. Our visitors come to relax and enjoy nature. It may be a small farm, but it has a soul. Out motto is to take it easy, forget about the time and enjoy. We are located at the following address: Sela pri Dobovi 117, 8257 Dobova, Slovenia It is in the vicinity of town Brezice and Spas Paradiso and Catez. Our working hours are Tuesday and Sunday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.; however, our season begins and ends depending on the weather. In July in August the opening hours are between 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. – 9 p.m. WELCOME :)
This family farm, where the head of the family worked as a vet, was developed like a special zoo, where they formed suitable conditions to keep a very wide variety of poultry, some special cow, horse breed, pig, and exotic parrots.
The outside of the family estate looks like traditional in a small, hidden street, but the inside is very zoo-like, with a good opportunity for children to get their attention to backyard animals, especialy when stopping for a break during a long journey.
There is an entrance fee, but we entered as a group and could easily discuss a discount for that. Cordinates helped me a lot to find the place, otherwise it is not easy to find with address.

Our farm lies right here where river Krka meets Sava. We offer apartmans and rooms in nice and idle ambient. You can expirience different activities with horses, including horseback riding, camps for kids and carriage rides.
These people know how to combine good horsemanship and respect for horses with a touristic event. You can make a Unique trip in the Woods with a guide. The horses are in good shape and treated with respect. You can ride thorough bred or lippizaner....MoreThank you for a nice review! Greetings from Slovenia, Jana

We went there for a day-break this Saturday because we found their website and it looked very promising. Unfortunately, the actual place has almost no resemblance to the website content - besides the natural scenery. Everything there looks like it was built in the 1980s and then never, ever refurbished again. Which would be tolerable if it weren't for:
a) horrible, horrible food - we ordered pork chops, wienerschnitzel and fries. They absolutely ruined everything. Fries were greasy and undercooked. Batter on the schnitzel was ultra-greasy and had the taste of ancient frying oil. Pork chops were tasteless and obviously defrosted by grilling.
b) lousy service and the hosts - when we complained about raw fries (we left the whole plate uneaten), the waiter just said "eh, sorry about that" and later gave us the check for everything (including those unedible fries) as if we said it was delicious.
Even worse scene was when one llama walked casually to the entrance of the restaurant (to the delight of the guests) and the owner chased her away by beating her with a broomstick (which he finally threw at her).
Our recommendation: if you find the scenery attractive - there are probably a dozen better places to go in the vicinity. Avoid.

We invite you to the world of wonderful Castles in miniature! The Castles project has been created with the aim of showing you scale models of fortresses and Castles, differing in architecture style and carrying spirit of different epochs, from various countries, in one place.
It was really great surprise - we expected little exhibition but got very nice experience . The exhibition consists of 17 reconstruction of european and asian Castles built in miniature with the additional photos and explanations. You can see the buildings during the 24 hours thanks to light show - and some of them are really amazing during the night. It was the funny and educational hour and a half we spent with our children.

Ci siamo fermati a fotografare il punto di incontro dei 2 fiumi: Sava e Krk.
L'effetto essendoci poca acqua in questo periodo non è spettacolare come pensavamo, ma comunque merita una foto
