In Vienna, the coffee house isn’t just a hangout: it’s an institution. Lingering over a newspaper with a pastry and a strong espresso drink is, according to UNESCO, officially a Viennese cultural pastime. Walk off your slice of Sachertorte with a self-guided tour of the city’s stunning traditional, Secessionist, and modern architecture, such as the Imperial Palace, the State Opera House, the Kirche am Steinhof, or the Kunsthistorisches Museum, an exercise in ornate geometry.

My partner and I had the pleasure to visit ef16 Restaurant in Vienna and were very (very) happy with our choice. The restaurant has great ambiance and the food is outstanding. Also, the staff was extremely friendly!!
Our waiter was exceptionally nice!! An experience we won't forget.

Both quality of the dishes, including presentation, and certainly service was very good. Staff was helpful, respectful, inventive, and multi-lingual. They were there to serve you to a great evening. Bravo. And the food was a great combination of classic and fascination. A good balance as well. If there is a very slight improvement it might be the seasoning, with some dishes being just a little on the salty side. But that is a comment for completeness, this place is really highly recommendable, and in my view offers very competitive value (across European capitals) relative to cost.

Non smoking restaurant,Fish, Chicken, vegetarian (vegan)Dishes, Viennas wine restaurant of the year (presented by Austria wine marketing and wirtshausfuhrer austria)

Closed saturday, sunday and the holy days.
Had a delicious dinner here on Friday night. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant is pretty and offers a vegetarian/vegan menu. It’s not clear which meals are vegan vs vegetarian but staff were happy to help and kept reassuring me that everything they brought was in fact vegan. Definitely worth a visit!

Enjoy traditional Viennese specialities in this elegant and stylish restaurant. You can either sit in the black and white floor-tiled glass conservatory facing the Opera House or in the grand, dark red damask dining room with large oil paintings and crystal chandeliers. The windows of the conservatory are folded away in summer to make a large open Terrace. Live piano music in the evenings adds to the ambience.
There are two ways to experience Sacher. One night we waited in line for about 10 minutes to have the full dinner. The restaurant upstairs is lovely! The food amazing! Another night, not wanting to wait in line we discovered they have a kind of back room around the side, and were able to walk right in every time. There were lines around the corner for the main room. But if you're ok with slightly dressed down decor, while eating the same yummy torte, then poke around to find this smaller room.

this visit was to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it did not disappoint. The service and food were exactly what you would expect from a 2 star Michelin restaurant - the sommeliers were excellent and the choice of food was extensive. we had the great honour to be invited into the kitchen and meet the main man himself- which was a real treat for us as we do like our food, and have visited more than our fair share of Michelin star restaurants across Europe. this is a treat and I would go back

Off the beaten track, it’s a cozy place with a nice cellar.
The food is eclectic Hungarian and offers a small, yet delicious menu.
Some highlights are the foie gras starters or duck as main.
Even the Schnitzel is one of Vienna’s best.
One of the highlights was the broad choice of exclusively Hungarian wines. The staff was doing a superb job in helping us to pick the best choices, incl. opening a bottle or two for tasting.
One of my new favourite places in Vienna!

Went here last night 11/02/2017 what a fabulous night we had.8 of us were in Vienna for 4 days I had read reviews on tripadviser which were all good,so I booked for the 8of us.From the minute we arrived we were made to feel at home but also special. The food was all delicious and we had a selection of dishes, everyone enjoyed all their food .The staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble for them,it was one of our party's birthday they came and sang to her then brought cake with candles it made a truly memorable birthday for her. Then maybe the icing on the cake was when Daniel(the owner with his father of the restaurant) sang for us Daniel played the guitar and sang with his father who came to life with his amazing singing voice it was beautiful.Thank you Daniel and all of your family and staff for an amazing night.
All best wishes from all our group to you for the impending birth of your first child, happy days ahead.

Seasonal dishes with international influences and regional products: Edvard’s Fresh Cuisine is aimed at getting the best possible taste out of every ingredient. The careful selection of products is equally important as the harmonic combination of all components to a complete dish. In addition: a wine menu, rousing the guest with a new appetite and a fresh atmosphere, created for leaning back. The restaurant is awarded with one Michelin star and 17 Gault-Millau points.
The 7 course meal was wonderful. Each dish was very delicate and uncovered many different and original flavors. The ambiance is very soft and cozy, with beautiful dishware. The staff is young, smiling and attentive. A very nice experience.

We came here without a table reservation at a bit after 6 in the evening.
Most of the tables were reserved, but we got one table for two.
We ordered the breaded chicken schnitzel at a very reasonable 11,5e.
First we got a very nice, fresh and tasty starter salad.
Just as we were finishing the salad we got the chicken schnitzels!
They were huge, very generous portions!
The taste was very good, the chicken schnitzels were quite thin and of good quality.
Would definitely recommend this place.
