Good central location, just off the market square in the heart of the town.
Was fairly busy when we called in, but were made to feel welcome by friendly staff.
A good wide varied menu , excellent choices of starters and main courses.
Only gripe i have is the length of time it took to for our order to be taken, and the time to serve the food. (It was fairly busy to be fair). The food was excellent, well cooked and presented and very tasty.
Reasonably priced too.
No beers on sale, although you can take your own in.
Friendly staff , good decor, good food. Well worth a visit

Booked The Parks for my Hubbies 40th Birthday. Last November (Sunday 12th) for 9 people . We were really impressed. The food was absolutely amazing and very plentiful. The staff were lovely...extremely attentive and helpful. We will be returning very soon and can definitely recommend.

Come along to the Dapple Grey offering a great atmosphere, exceptional levels of service and quality food from our Two for One menu and Specials Board. You can also choose a delicious stonebaked pizza from our fantastic Pizza Kitchen, all the classics plus some exciting specials. We have a fantastic outdoor area where you can relax and enjoy a cold drink in the great British weather with all the family! Our children's play area will keep the little ones entertained and for the chilly days we have an under 5's Kids Zone inside. We look forward to seeing you very soon!
As a 'local', many of my friends like meeting here, on price grounds. There are many food options, which make sense provided you opt for the '2 for 1' offer.
Food quality varies enormously, from barely warm to over cooked. Sometimes you'll even get a vaguely reasonable meal. This is fine, it's what you'd expect for the money.
So, why the review? Well, I'm often here with one group of friends or another, and yet again, I'm sitting here 45 minutes after placing my food order, and somewhat famished.
I thought they'd cured the frankly ridiculous waiting times, but apparently not! Is there any prospect of this ever improving?
I'll likely be back, though I truly struggle to recommend it to anyone on anything other than cost grounds. Don't come expecting fast food.

Came here today (Monday 22nd Jan) with the Hubbie for afternoon tea. He purchased a voucher for Christmas. Was absolutely amazing. Loads of finger sandwiches with several different fillings such as smoked salmon, egg, coronation chicken etc. Also enjoyed the homemade cakes, lemon mousse and the biggest n tastiest cherry scones we've ever seen! We were totally stuffed. Was really good value for money. We can definitely recommend this place and we will be back very soon :-)

The food was ok. But that was it.
Went for a family meal and the service was dreadful. Firstly had to wait so long for each course and when it did come they all came at different times so the family weren’t eating together. No one smiled and the staff looked scruffy with one wearing jeans and a hoodie. The carpet was filthy and the place is shabby-when checking the bill they charged for things we never had.
They seemed to concentrate on the takeaway service and they should because the food is ok but they have no idea how to run a restaurant.
Feel sad and disappointed, spent over£200.

A lovely country pub with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, serving real ales, numerous gins as well as the norm. They serve delicious meals (compliments to the chef) and if you are unsure try the beef and stilton pie I highly recommend it.
They have live music every Sunday evening with proceedings finishing around 8.00pm and this weekend it’s their beer Festival.
Try it but i would recommend booking for a meal so as not to be disappointed.

Good food that was beautifully served. I have had some great meals over the years, and last nights continued the progress of this fantastic venue. Still good value for money for a real restaurant evening and great service. Congratulations to the new chef and Trina.

Excellent little cafe, friendly enthusiastic staff, lovely setting with lovely beams across the ceiling. Had a nice little breakfast on a nice hot plate and a nice cup of tea, very clean surroundings with a nice relaxed atmosphere where you are not rushed at all. It's the second time I've been here and it's nearly always full, at different times, so popular with the locals. Well done ....Keep it up !!!!
