Bel Canto restaurant in Neuilly just north of Paris��� Bois de Boulogne has music on the menu. The waiters are also students from the world-famous Paris Conservatoire and several times each evening they burst into song, performing the arias you adore from Puccini, Verdi, Mozart and more. You may spot the next Pavarotti, who knows? The dining room in the former mansion has been designed like a small theatre, with gleaming grand piano set centre stage beneath a crystal chandelier with white-linened tables arrange on two levels for maximum visibility. (NB This also makes Bel Canto Neuilly a superb spot for corporate entertaining, banquets and presentations.) The three-course, seasonally-changing Lyric Menu offers dishes like pressed crabmeat with saffron, crunchy cabbage and ricotta, traditional beef fillet a la plancha with gratin potatoes and pannacotta with honey and lavender. Mostly-Italian wine list.
Let's say more than half of the steep price they charge is for the (very good) singers and piano player. The food is good, but not more than that, while you pay as much as in a restautant with a Michelin star. But what a joy to hear such great voices from so close, and what a joy to be able to chat with those artists!

My husband and I first came to this restaurant for our anniversary a few months ago. We loved it's cosy atmosphere and the fact that it's off the beaten track. This time round we brought friends who were visiting. The weather was great: a warm & balmy evening; the geraniums were in bloom adding to the ambience and we requested to be seated outside. The waiters were friendly, service was punctual. The menu catered for all tastes. We started off with a few snails which were very well prepared. Three of us had the rumpsteak which was very good, my friend had the chicken breast. Dessert was tarte au fraise and Creme brûlée, both delicious. A lovely evening overall. Can recommend.

Had dinner here with a work colleague after doing a quick TripAdvisor search for a restaurant in La Defense. Le Tournesol had good reviews and I wasn't disappointed. This restaurant changed my poor opinion of restaurants and service in Paris. We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The service is very good. The wait staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Traits that I've experienced to be missing in a lot of restaurants in Paris. Food was very good and a nice selection to cater for all tastes. Great selection of wines too. To top it off the atmosphere is pleasant with nice décor.

My wife and I visited L'Escargot this weekend, we had the five course taster menu which was superb, the quality of food was of a very high standard, this along with the attentive and skilled staff made it an exceptional experience, this restaurant is a must

This restaurant in Neuilly breaths local (country side?) atmosphere. If you like meat and like to be in an informal place, this restaurant should be on your list. Prices are moderate, the personnel is very friendly. Seating inside is in a kind of old fashioned train cabins, which makes dining a bit more private than sitting on tables close to each other (although the benches could use some restorations, some cushions are torn). Outside there are some tables where it is allowed to smoke. I always like (and take) the basket with sausages as a starter. All different types of sausages are in it and can be tasted it also comes with some (home made?) pate.

I thought this restaurant was fantastic. The front of house staff were welcoming, efficient and very helpful. The food was original, creative and perfectly executed. The cerviche was faultless and the langoustine risotto was simply superb. The crowd was local and, I think I was the only non-local. I will definitely be back and won't be surprised to find this restaurant Michelin starred next time.

I dined here recently with a family group of mixed food tastes. All, however, could not fault the food we were served. The couscous dishes and the tagines we ordered were delicious, and the waiter recommended a Mococcan wine that worked really well everything we ordered. Afterwards, the frandole of oriental sweets were amazing, particularly if you have a sweet tooth. I cannot fault any aspect of the evening and I will definitely return.

Loved this restaurant..the staff were very good in translating the menu and helping me to decide. Lovely environment which seemed to be a popular place with the locals too as it was very busy. Lovely evening spent here would visit again when in the area.

I really enjoyed my dinner in this small but nice restaurant. The waiter speaks perfect english and the dishes are great. The only con are the desserts - and no mango lassies. Anything else, just cool. I will come back again if I am in the area.

Nicolas Bernardé, Best Artisan of France Pastry-confectioner 2004, opened a shop of gluttony in 2011 to delight gourmands. Sweet and savory travel cakes, sweets and chocolates, jams, spreads are offered in a cozy space for gourmets. The specialties : • Cakes: named "Cakissime ™", because they are soft as kisses, they want to be soft and provide a unique tasting experience. With seasonal fruit cake, chocolate cake or « folie » cake, there are no less than 30 different recipes that carry the cake to the tops of haute pastry. • Pâtisserie du Samedi: every Saturday, a surprise pastry is inspired by the fresh produce of the market, to the imagination of the chef. On the first floor of the shop, the Nicolas Bernardé Pastry School shares courses and workshops for gastronomy lovers.
I had the good fortune to come on a day they had an "open house." This allowed for a tour of the kitchen and short talk with chef Nicholas while he demonstrated his craft.
It was like watching a master painter. What fantastic skill!
A couple of words for the traveler..... this is not your typical Parisienne pastry shop. Don't go expecting croissants and coffee. It is a delightful bakery of high quality petite cakes and confections.
A little had to find - but worth the effort. 10 out of 10.
