Very small but very cozy restaurant. Looks very French but unpretentious from the outside. We have been there twice, and we look forward to the next time. Food is really gourmet. Serving looks great. Service is very good and attentive. All in all really enjoyable - wine list also good.

Went there with friends tonight and really enjoyed it! Friendly waiters, delicious fish soup amuse bouche with complimentary (lovely) bread! The starter was the best (scallops), very surprising dessert - Grand Marnier soufflé - and complimentary bottle of rhum with the Baba dessert! The wine is excellent too. I didn't put 5 stars as I did not enjoy the main course that much. Amazing place, would definitely go again and recommend.

This was the recommendation from the person we asked at our hotel, and we were pleased with a tasty meal, which could not be faulted. Tables soon filled up. It had less of a special atmosphere than we would have hoped, given the quality of food. I thought it unlikely to disappoint, but could have done with a little more magic.

There is a family relationship between this lovely resto and Passions et Gourmandises, the Michelin- starred establishment just outside Poitiers at St Benoit, and it shows. Here you eat excellent food, not overpriced, in an atmosphere of minimalist elegance. Le Bis is a cut above most of its local rivals, and offers style, excellent service and ambience, and a true culinary experience.

I rated this establishment as best of Poitiers. This time they managed to prouvé that nothing is forever.
Sashimi of scallops and oyster in an oyster shell, no taste whatsoever, nothing. For a city close to the sea and oysters are face flavorful on their own.
Opted for the Spanish burger with the monchago cheese, they ran out of and replaced it with don't know what, OK but to serve me a 5 ounce frozen burger that went through a freezer burn before the microwave to come completely dead when I asked for a medium rare, is an insult. Soggy fries and stale bun. When I asked for the mustard, it came in plastic packets.
Baba au rhum, saved by the rhum.
A message to the chef:
This is the place where I had one of the best piece of steak ever. Please save it for the sake of humanity.

Whilst staying on the Futuroscope site last week we drove out to look a French restaurant and happened to come across this one. And what a treat. The food was lovely and the service great - the waiter's description of 'coin coin' was hilarious!). I would fully recommend it to anyone and it is close to the motorway and A road if you are travelling through the area.

We came to book the restaurant for dinner but liked the look of the Formule Midi so decided on lunch. Starter was a lovely warm goats cheese salad. Main was delicious ham in a creamy sauce and potatoes while dessert was a stunning chocolate fondant. Home made bread rolls and a half bottle of Rosé and the bill was less than 40 Euros. We were so impressed with the food, atmosphere and friendly service that we still decided to book for dinner.Looking forward to ordering the duck.

Very readonably priced three courses. Delicious omelette and a pretty incredible tartare of beef as starter options, then a lovely bit of fish with a safran sauce or beef or veal and topped of with a creamy white chocolate delight or a scrummy pineapple carpaccio. I'll definitely be revisiting!

Jasmin Citronnelle

Located in 32 rue Gambetta in Poitiers, the tea house/restaurant Jasmin Citronnelle is at the intersection of all senses. For 30 years, this place has always been an authentic agitator of taste buds, for both its exceptional teas and its copious lunches. A tasty pleasure added to great visual delights, local artists or from elsewhere regularly exposing their pieces. In other words, this haven of greenery is an ode to apeasement that will welcome you in a warm atmosphere.

Excellent food, a tiny quirky place in Poitiers. I went there for lunch and had a delicious honey, pear and goat cheese salad topped with crunchy pine nuts. The place was very busy and enjoys a very good reputation for simple fresh food. Only one regret: I passed on dessert (which nevertheless looked amazing!).
