To have lunch next to live flamingos sure was unexpected in Iwaki, Japan (the place felt more like Miami!). The food was Japanese style Western food, but very decent. Besides, my wife often came to this restaurant when she was a kid, so this was a trip down memory lane for her. Do not miss the crab meat pilaf!

A really friendly place with great seafood, robustly flavoured and in generous quantities. Be sure to order the local sake to wash it all down!

We were invited here by our business friends and were completely blown away by the quality and range of food.
Yes, it's a small restaurant but the staff were super efficient and the chef - the kitchen is right next to where you sit - was keen to get feedback and I was not surprised.
Take a look at the pictures although they do not do the food justice. Very fresh, well presented and amazing tastes. Unfortunately I do not know the name of the selection. The huge centre piece was about course 5 and the single fish (course 6) are worth a mention. The fish was seasoned to perfection!
All amazing. Well recommended and will certainly go back the next time I visit Iwaki.

This restaurant serves up pretty good Italian fare at a decent price. I especially like the oven fired pizzas that they have. You can also get take out, for much CHEAPER and FASTER than Pizza-la! They are also open an hour later than most Italian Restaurants. When I drive by at 9:45pm or so, I can see customers still eating. They are really crowded when there are Alios events though, so careful planning is advised.

I have been to this Iwaki institution several times. They serve several types of coffee. Their signature grilled Sandwich is what everyone goes for though. The sandwiches are good and the coffee is also fine. Unfortunately, the nonsmoking area is upstairs... where all the smoke from downstairs drifts up...??? They are often full and with waiting only. I can say that the coffee is only OK and they don't have any latte. They do have coffee with milk which I am not fond of though (not espresso based). Location is very good, near the station, beside Latov so if you need to take a break, this might be the place for you.

I have been here several times over the years. There service is standard quick with a large menu. It is usually hopping any time of the night or day, but the turnover is rapid so I don't usually have to wait. I find the food to be quite good and will continue to visit them.
