II Laghetto restaurant is situated on the High street in Ewell Village, just on the corner facing the High Street and the Church Street.
Visit a few times every year. Always good food, brilliant service and an excellent time. Very rustic downstairs, private upstairs. Highly recommend, especially in a group!

Offering an exotic mix of eastern recipes, Everest Spice pays homage to the culinary traditions of Nepal and India. Strewn with cool blue lighting and a bright rainbow colour palette, the Everest Spice dining room is a homely, modern retreat in lively Epsom. Guests can choose from an array of time-honoured, customary recipes, as well as innovative house creations, like Gurkha-style lamb, or Everest sea bass with lemon rice.

For Booking puposes please go to http://www.everestspicerestaurant.co.uk/ or click the website icon below the name of the restuarant.
So if you want a really busy and rammed place on a Saturday then this is a good choice. But if you don’t then avoid. Food was your average Indian - so nothing amazing about the food or the atmosphere - the only thing to remember was the noise!

One of Surreys premier dining destinations, 143 The Canopy has earned itself a loyal following with gourmands from all over Europe. Located on the Epsom High Street, 143 The Canopy is a welcoming and traditional restaurant decorated with crisp white linens and contemporary artworks, and it is a great place for group dining, business dinners or family celebrations. The kitchens signature dish is the healthy and interactive Black Rock Grills steaks cooked at the table on hot volcanic rocks. But steak aside, youll adore the rest of 143 The Canopys menu which is a collection of elegant modern European dishes. All the food here is complemented by an old world wine list with some guest appearances from South Africa and Australia.
We had the pleasure of our first visit a few weeks ago with some friends. We are always on the look out for new and interesting places to eat. Unfortunately the only available space was upstairs which in all fairness we were told when the reservation was made. I think being downstairs would give a completely different vibe to the whole experience but we still enjoyed our visit. The staff were great and very attentive probably the advantage of being near the kitchen. The menu was very good and the wine list ok and nice and cold. We will definitely be going back to try the downstairs. Parking is impossible so factor in the price of a cab. Thank you for a pleasant evening. Dean

The Clink Restaurant at HMP High Down opened to the general public in May 2009 and offers over 30 prisoners full-time work within a true-to-life restaurant and kitchen environment. Alongside their employment the prisoners also train towards gaining nationally recognised City & Guilds NVQs in food preparation and food service before returning to their prison accommodation at the end of the working day. Upon their release, The Clink Charity helps the graduates find employment within the hospitality industry. The restaurant is an example of a unique charitable project that is committed to reducing reoffending rates in partnership with HMPS. The restaurant positively promotes the rehabilitation and reintegration of prisoners and also champions the wealth of quality, fresh and organic produce available locally. Breakfast is served from Monday to Friday between 8:15am and 10:30am, and lunch is served from Monday to Friday between 12pm and 3pm. Guests can enjoy Afternoon Tea from 2pm to 4pm. This must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. Available for exclusive hire, The Clink Restaurant boasts a private dining room that offers projector and AV facilities making it perfect for meetings, conferences and presentations.
The Clink is a great lunchtime experience. An attractive modern restaurant within High Down Prison, providing training and work experience for prisoners. If you've never been inside a prison, this is an experience in itself. A great alternative venue for business lunches, where the absence of alcohol in such an environment is of no consequence. It's also a popular 'ladies who lunch' destination.
I've eaten in the Clink several times over the years that it has been open, and it's always an enjoyable experience. The front of house staff are always pleasant and helpful and the food is of a high standard. Most recently, last week, I ate the Christmas lunch there, which was delicious - I chose game terrine, roast beef and Yorkshires, and a chocolate tart with ginger ice-cream. As mentioned their coffee is great - the latte is strong and creamy. The Clink is a charity, and well worth supporting through eating a delicious meal there, to help the men that pass through the restaurant as waiters and in the kitchen get their lives back on track.

Established for 24 years, we are a family run restaurant serving fresh quality food from our Tapas, 2-3 course set & A la Carte menus. In addition, we also cater for birthdays, christenings and weddings.
The really good points were my friends steak, friendly waiter, tasty paella and clean restaurant.
After we choose our wine we had to ask for olives ( very small portion between 4) and the bread came in a big basket and you picked it out with your own hands yuck! One piece! Why not a little selection with oil, balsamic or aioli?
Sardine starter soggy and only 2, whitebait starter very small.
The mussels in the paella stuck to their shells and tepid but the actual paella tasted great but again not a lot of it.
We asked for water and did not receive it.
I think they should have more waiting staff as the head waiter was extremely stressed and this made me feel uneasy.
Obviously people love this restaurant as it was extremely busy but it’s not for me sorry El Rincon.

Bamboo Basket provide noodles and rice dishes to eat-in and to take-away. All the food is freshly prepared and cooked in front of you. We also have fresh home made steamed Chinese buns (Bao Tze), which are amazing, and home made chilli sauces! Our focus is on healthy eating, and we do not use additives or colourings. We have around 60 different loose-leaf teas for sale by the cup, or to take home, with an extensive range of teapots, teaware and chopsticks for sale. We have now opened our indoor Seating area and now have 12 seats indoors; as well as the 14 seats, under cover, outside.
The best noodles I've had in a long time. Cooked fresh and taste fantastic, are here twice and my fav were the vermicelli noodles.
Highly recommend it and would eat again when back in Epsom
Only thing I would say is that they need a ticketing or number system for take away in busier lunch periods
Otherwise - perfect

The atmosphere was relaxed and had a nice ambiance.
The food was delicious, and even though we won this meal in a competition, we were so impressed we would have happily paid for it.

Having been recommended, we decided to visit for lunch today. Blown away by the superb food (we had baguettes from the bar menu). But, equally important was the service. My husband is disabled and uses a wheelchair, the gentleman serving quite simply could not have been more helpful, from helping me get the wheelchair through the good disabled access, helping my husband into his seat every aspect of his service was excellent. Sorry we didn't get his name but, thank you. We will certainly be back.
