This establishment is located along the walk of the Bukit Lawang river between some shops. The cuisine is primarily Italian pasta, pizza etc. and the pastas are delicious. The meals take 30 minutes to arrive (this is known as preparation time in the restaurant community) but the food is worth the wait, the chips are divine. They taste like English chip shop chips but are fluffy like oven chips, the size of American french fries with an Indonesian crispiness to them.
The prices are average for western food in the area, 120,000idr for 2 mains and 2 drinks.

Ice cold beer, pizza and quality food. River views with the jungle opposite.
I'm really confused by all these positive reviews. Here is everything we ordered:
Avocado juice - good
Mango juice - meh
Guacamole - served with white bread that was too sweet to eat. Like, it tasted and smelled a little like marshmallows. I tried to just eat the guacamole with a spoon, but it had some very odd seasoning that made it really not edible. This was the 4th place we've had guacamole in Sumatra and 2nd place in Bukit Lawang, and all others were good, so you can't blame it on the locals not knowing how to make guacamole.
Potato salad - couldn't eat it. It was warm potatoes in sweet mayonnaise. Gag.
Tofu rendang - it came out SO SMOKY. like, it tasted like a campfire smoky. We asked about it, and she said rendang always tastes like that because you cook it a long time. False. I have eaten rendang many times before. Also, we were able to eat the sauce just fine with the rice. The tofu was smoked tofu. We went down the street and ordered tofu rendang from somewhere else, and it wasn't smoky at all.
Vegetarian pizza - fine for pizza in Indonesia. Really, just wait until you get home for pizza, but if you must, then get it here. But don't order anything else. We left 3/4 food items we ordered almost untouched.

Staying at Riverside Guesthouse next door, we decided to have one of the dinners at Green Hill. We had gado-gado and sayur putih (both with chicken) - both were good. We also had a beer to the dinner. During the dinner it started raining and we stayed there longer than initially planned but it was OK as the beer was cold and guests from 3 tables sat at one that was not affected by rain - ambience was good, someone from the staff played the guitar, evening was very cheerful. Good place.

I staid here for 2 nights and I cannot complain at the value for money as I only paid 50,000/night. Very basic, reasonably clean to the local standards and cold water. I moved one because it is a very popular accommodation and can be very noisy with people talking, music, etc. All good, except I go to nature to hear nature. I moved to MBoy for the location as the room is directly on the river and my balcony looks directly into a hill of jungle.
However I spend every day at Sibayak with a friend and eat there every day. They staff are wonder, smiling and friendly and the location as soon as you arrive at Bukit Laway, directly over the suspension bridge is very convenient, which is why it is very popular.

This atmospheric restaurant/bar on the riverside is a great place to repose. There's a wonderful view of the tropical garden and the jungle. Delicious meals are on the menu: steak, curries, chicken sate, tacos, seefood, banana-chocolate crepes, fruitshake and more Asian and European foods and drinks. Eriono Guesthouse offers more than good food: There are clean, lovely rooms for families, couples and solo travellers. Eriono Guesthouse also offers jungle trekking in the rainforest of Gunung Leuser National Park.
We had a lovely dinner at Eriono. The restaurant is small but popular and food was tasty and well priced. Regular Indonesian meal options certainly some of the best we've had. The art gallery next door provides a brief distraction while the food is made.

We offer our guests besides a cozy restaurant with delicious food, clean accommodation, adventurous jungle trekking and good service. Lawang Inn features a two storey, open air restaurant & Lounge Bar serving Indonesian and International food, excellent coffee (we offer you an excellent, 100% Arabica brew from the coffee machine) and a full range of nice food and drinks. We are unique in Bukit Lawang being based on a concept combining jungle style with modern Western facilities. A welcoming and comfortable environment, making you feel both on holiday and at home!
There are lots of places to eat in Bukit Lawang - way more than are on TA.
We went for dinner at Lawang Inn. This is not the prettiest or best located restaurant by far but certainly the best food we had in Bukit Lawang.
We particularly liked the deboned chicken in curries and had the best chicken satay of our time in Indonesia.

Bar and restaurant in Bukit Lawang.
I have an amazing experience here. His name is tara he is one of the thomas retreat staff, he take me here.
The band is very friendly, and always communicate with the customer, they play so well, and in here is the first time a have a guts to sing in front of all the customers because the band invite me to sing. And one of the customers even make a video tape of me.
After singing i feel so liberated like i got enlightenment. I was so proud of myself because i dare to sing in front of the crowd. Hahaha

Lovely little eaterie towards the top end of the village, always open and the food is magnificent. They make their own bread so sandwiches and toast are absolutely sumptuous and incredibly moreish. We ate here a number of times, prices are good, but the staff and the food are the winners, both western and Asian foods available and usually served quickly – the pumpkin curry was lush! The range of teas and Coffees were ultimately impressive and the cinnamon coffee was our favourite.

The Kapal Bambu (Bamboo Ship) building is a beautiful art with gorgeous nature surrounding. It has view of the river and macaques swinging on the trees.
There is access down to the river through stairway and beautiful well-maintained garden. 2nd floor is a chilling lounge with some bean bags, bench, long table and an egg swing chair. Had a nice relaxing time there while watching the rain and some macaques running on the roof.
The 'Bapak' who took our order was really nice, super polite and informative about the menu. The other staff could be more like him.
We had Nasi Goreng Kampung and Gado-Gado, both were delicious and served beautifully. The Gado-Gado was warm, freshly boiled/steamed and had this green vegetable that unusual or I'm not familiar with.
But.. They were so stingy with the crackers, and charged IDR20,000+ for extra crackers.
WiFi didn't work - was being fixed then; 3% swipe fees; there is also a small souvenir shop.
