Truly an upscale meal. The brussel sprout app was amazing, and the flat bread and tater tots were not far behind. Entrees were creative and delicious. Try the pretzel crusted pork or the veal. Both were fabulous.

Another thanks to TA. We probably wouldn't have even considered stopping in without the rating/reviews.
The facility is clean and well maintained; with a resort-area mountain ski-lodge ambiance.
Being at an off time, we were served quickly. Our server was friendly and attentive.
The French onion soup was very tasty, as was the ciabatta bread (both alone and for sandwiches).
The cranberry apricot scone was very good; and the German chocolate cupcake was a truly wonderful vacation indulgence.
This is a great option for a meal, snack and/or bringing back tasty treats to your resort, home, etc.

Starbucks

The Starbucks in the Beavercreek Village is a franchised store and will not redeem your points. Your purchase will go toward Starbucks points. In addition, because it is in the Village, the prices are higher AND you will be charged an extra Village tax. The Starbucks on Hurd Lane, is a company store and you can redeem your points and the drink price is less than what is charged in the Village. Both locations had super nice employees and they made my drink correctly. However, after tax, the drink in the Village cost me a lot more than what I paid on Hurd Lane.

Service is excellent with a leisure, orderly pace.
Food is generally excellent except for a couple of misses.
Asparagus was ok..nothing special in taste.
The stripped bass entree was cooked to perfection, moist and full of flavor. Skin was crispy and the accompaniments were well presented. When cooked properly, it is without a doubt a reason to visit.
My daily special of pork belly over spinach ravioli was a miss. No real need to get into that.
The surprise was the cheese plate with an accompanying compote of figs and fruit. The wine gelee was a treat. The chef's 3 cheeses were a delight. We ordered it after dinner.
Atmosphere is great and an impressive wine list along with a substantial "wine by the glass" offering.
Management was professional and comp't the missed entree.
Would I eat here again...yes. Clearly, something good is going on here.
Give it a try, I do not think you will be disappointed.

Splendido at the Chateau

The food is best in Beaver Creek and probably amongst many restaurants in the world.

Wine list: comprehensive; try a Chateau Neuf du Pape.

Appetizers: try Four Gras, Scallops Crudeaux and the Parsley Soup. Al are exceptional.

Entrees: we have all ordered NY steak. The one that asked for Medium got the Rare. The steak was 6 out of 10. We had the same at Lancelot (9/10) and Vintage (9.5/10) in Vail and both were better by a long shot. Our steak must have come from a 40 year old cow...

Pity... the restaurant is great.

Deserts: the Soufle is amazing. Recovered the rating.

We chose this lovely restaurant for dinner based on TA reviews. We did make a reservation and were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The service was very good throughout our meal. We started with the cheesy garlic bread which was delicious. Everyone really enjoyed it, including my husband who is not a big cheese fan. My daughter loved the penne with shrimp & spicy marinara. She begged to eat here again during our trip so she could have it twice! My son had the lasagna and it too, was wonderful. I wasn't thrilled with the beef ragu however, which had ground beef in it instead of shredded, which is what I expected. The sauce was also more of brown gravy than a tomato marinara - just not my taste. My husband enjoyed his meal, though I can't remember what he ordered. We really enjoyed the experience and would certainly return.

Wonderful organic breads & bagels. The pretzel bread they make on Tuesdays was so moorish- the family couldn't stop eating it. Well worth the price as you could taste the fresh ingredients used-sourdough and miche were also favourites too.
*wished they served espresso coffee instead of percolator coffee but otherwise great little gem in the town

We have loved this place since it opened. We returned with high expectations once again. It is still enjoyable, the service is professional but the striving to please and quality of the food seems to have slipped. Not a lot, but noticeable to us. The prix fixe deal ($38 for appetizer -salad or soup; entree and dessert) remains and has been enlarged to include all entrees on the menu. Some have a significant upcharge, so ask about that. The desserts were a huge disappointment, small "in-a glass portions" and not very tasty. The Chocolate bomb was dry and unappetizing. I love chocolate, so this was a sad ending to our meal. That being said, my trout was VERY good. There are still 45 wines by the glass, all at good prices. I think this place is now on everyone's radar, busier and not quite as nice. Still a place to return to , but i will no longer rave about it.

Mostly small plates (we did not eat here), my partner and I really enjoyed coming here for a drink, and made it three times in our 5 day stay in Avon. Drinks are very good--especially after dinner ones, and bartenders are all fantastic and approachable. One bartender--a male with dark hair and a short cropped beard was very friendly and conversational on our first and second visit. Being a gay couple (and feeling like the only gay couple in the area at the time), we often don't get a lot of special attention and conversation, but he was really pleasant and fun. That being said, they were all great.
