We were at the port before 6am and the place was already busy. We watched as the fish was transported from the boat to the port, weighed and measured, then laid out on tables to be checked by discerning buyers. It was such an experience being there.
Be sure to wear long pants and no sleeveless shirts. Wear long socks and rent their white boots at 20pesos per pair. Then off you go!

MY first review was refused, I understand why , but you need to understand that this is not a safe place for tourists in the evening. I experienced threats and requests for financial assistance from many areas of the park, I reported it to the tourist information department the next day , they are aware of it. its a beautiful place and in February the water was drained and the falls are not working.

Nothing fancy with SM Gensan. It's a very regular SM. What caught my attention though is that it is just at the back of Gaisano. While Gaisano is almost right accross the street of KCC mall. Amd KCC mall is just a few hundred meters away from KCC. Want mall hopping??? Go to Gensan.

Went to experience what they called" Boracay of the South". Though the Beaches were not as fully-developed as Boracay, but the area itself is good enough. The sand is not as powdery-white as Boracay. From General Santos city, it will take almost 2hours to reach Beaches in Saranggani... Interior roads going to Beaches are bumpy. Need to hire a trike as no public transportation going to and from the Beaches..

Lake Sebu and the 7Falls are the main attractions here. Dine with Tilapia fish grown in Lake Sebu and take a trip to the 7Falls and if you dare ride on the longest and highest zip line. Various cooking preparations of the Tilapia fish are available at reasonable prices. The falls are in pristine condition, the water is flowing strong, truly beautiful.
A must visit when in General Santos City.

I am not impressed with their food. I was expecting more on their food. They should hire a good cook. But in fairness, the place is impressive.

Balut island was one of the most amazing island I ever visited. 8hours of travel with what they called small lantsa. You can feel the big waves smashing, cold breeze of air that will give you bumps and will make your 8hours travel once in a life time experience and when you arrive, Views it has will make you realize how beautiful the nature is. When you visit Balut island dont let any moment go to visit ulaniban island where sand is whiter and thinner than ever, where you can dip your body in pristine blue water. Together with this nature you can mingle and meet the tribes dominates the place who is so hospitable and caring to their guest. Balut Island is a total package dor nature escapade.

Just the beach the cottages and everybody is welcome. No entrance fee. No restaurants around. At about three to four blocks away are the dine-in restaurants.
The wide area beach side of General Santos entrance is along the Acharon Boulevard. There are few trees that gives shade to bathers. My advise is to bring your own food.
