The Lido Trocadero located in Castellaneta Marina, was founded in 1994 thanks to the work and passion of the family Sisto, entirely family-run, an ideal meeting place for children and families. An evocative setting close to the sea, created to satisfy our

Welcome to Infarina. All our doughs do not contain the refined 00 flour and are naturally leavened and long-matured. You will taste a thin, crumbly and highly digestible dough. Doughs: Senatore Cappelli, kamut / khorassan, cereals, Tritordeum wholemeal, s

Panini veramente buonissimi, con carne, pesce e vegetariani... Eccezionali anche i taglieri, i crudi e i fritti. Locale alla mano ma gradevolissimo, prezzi alla portata! Ve lo consiglio assolutamente!!!

My family and I have eaten in Peucezia many times. It was recommended by my Italian relatives, some of whom still live in Castellaneta and others who visit there every year. The food is fresh, delicious and authentically Italian. The service is exceptionally warm and friendly. The owner, Giacomo Mazzone, treats his patrons as if they are family (come una festa), that is, in a party-like atmosphere. The Primitivo wine is wonderful ., as is their Italian beer. And the prices are very affordable, too. I am a very good cook, as are my Italian relatives, but when we eat in Peucezia, we are always impressed. It's a must every time we visit Castellaneta. Oh, and be ready to take a selfie with Giacomo as a souvenir. He loves them, too, and displays them on the restaurant wall.

I rather get the impression that if you're a Palagianellian, then this is the in place to be seen in.Very smart and modern restaurant which looks both clean and orderly, with tables laid attractively whilst being well spaced to avoid crowding. There's an added bonus of a large, and equally appealing, terrace at the front of the restaurant. Everything looks great, and would grace the culinary portfolio of any town.We visited early on a Saturday evening, and things hadn't really got going although there were plenty of staff on standby. Possibly some were brought in for the weekend rush, we thought, as our friendly young waiter carefully poured a carafe of wine over our tablecloth. His next job was to gesticulate at the waitress fast approaching the table with our starters in order to get her to u-turn back to the kitchen for the mortadella which should have been atop our plates of bruschetta, cheese and tomato. Not long after, the main course arrived; sliced pieces of roast pork wrapped round bacon fat resting on a bed of bed of spinach and accompanied by some very al dente (i.e. cold and barely cooked) grilled vegetables. Interesting, naturally salty and not something I'd ever choose again.Having finished, we then experienced a total power cut for 30 minutes. Many readers can probably form a mental picture of a roomful of italians in a power cut - you'd be right! Eventually candles came out and the staff generally wandered round whilst we had a tableful of fast-congealing plates to look at. Eventually, I got our previously forgetful and somewhat dreamy waitress to deal with it.Happily, our dessert of caramel cheesecake was sublime. The Strega has a large pizza menu and does takeaways too. So during the evening, in this lovely restaurant, there was a queue of customers, many of whom looked like they had been digging the garden or mending their car, happily snaking around the room waiting patiently for their pizza order to arrive. So it was an interesting evening. However, it is a truly pleasant place so we went back a few days later. Unlike previously, we went outside on the terrace and got a table with a good view of the whole restaurant inside and out. Our waiter was a little taciturn but very professional and poured our bottle of wine, from a comprehensive wine list, perfectly. Like so many of the locals, we thought we'd try a pizza from the Strega's enormous and creative menu - again, all fine with dough not too thin and plenty of meaty topping. Couldn't resist another go at the caramel cheesecake whilst Mrs EPR tried the tiramisu. Both excellent.Locals love this place, and it's easy to see why. It's certainly got character.

I servizi offerti nella struttura sono i sevuenti: Bar, pizzeria, trattoria, hamburgheria, piadineria, creperia
We met owner Concetta to ask directions to a Valentino site. They are located around the corner from the Valentino museum. Concetta was so kind and showed us around her restaurant. It looked so inviting we decided to stay for lunch. The menu is very extensive, and Gianfranco did an excellent job preparing our meal. We started with an antipasto and small bites and house wine. I had the orrecchiette pasta made in the traditional way with broccoli rabe and anchovies. It was wonderful and satisfying. They also have a basement room that looks perfect for appertivo. If your a tourist or a local, this is a wonderful restaurant where you're sure to feel at home and enjoy a nice meal.

Smart and tidy restaurant with a good reputation. Easy to park nearby; in fact we were early enough to get right outside the front door. English not really spoken here although our host was very patient and most solicitous. We shared a selection of cheeses to start, which he prepared himself from a range on on display below the bar. A good spectrum from hard to soft to creamy, but not too intrusive to spoil anything later.Plenty of meat courses for mains, so we went for the beef fillet. Our host was most anxious that Mrs EPR should have hers cooked exactly right, hence a rather odd, yet dignified, debate about blood! However, needn't have worried. Cue two perfectly cooked and chunky slabs of fillet steak in a deliciously tasty balsamic sauce with a heap of crispy hand-cooked chips on the side. Perfect. We thought that was good, but it was almost eclipsed by an exquisite dessert; a creamy semi -freddo with amaretto. Beautifully presented and amply sized. As the meat seemed to be priced by weight (I think) I was rather curious about how the bill would pan out. In fact, it was far more reasonable than I had expected so a good evening was had by all!Highly recommended.

Went here for dinner with family. Sat outside, very nice and quiet setting (bring mosquito spray though). We took their standard menu (but they were very flexible for the kids). 4 course menue with wine and water for â¬25...can't complain...especially as I was almost stuffed after the anti-pasti. All locally grown, everything has good flavour, no need for seasoning. Simple but tasty dishes. One waitress for the whole...could have done with another one once it was full. Wine was house wine, not the best I had in the area but it fitted with the dishes. The made smaller plates for the kids at request and even changed the pasta. It's really in the middle of field but the setting as such is very nice. Kids can run around. If you go during the day you can visit the animals.Good trip, worth the visit.

Via trip advisor found this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised by the very good fish. But our companions had both a steak which was also really good. The English speaking lady was very helpful to translate the fully Italian menu. Greetings from Holland!!!
