Surrounded by exposed stone and impressive range of whiskies bottles, the interior decoration keep you relax during the lunch time. The lunch time menu has not a wide range of choice but still dishes are so tasty and original. Fine cuisine in a modern stylish bistrot. Staff is kind and coffees to end up this relax lunch were amazing.

We picked this place to experience good wine and matching finger food. We left with the wonderful memory of an excellent host, who served and shared his selection of wines, cold cuts, cheeses and quiches with charme and competence. This is a true gem in "Vieux Lyon", which I definitely would visit again.

Restaurant - Wine Bar - Cellar Cooking of the Market
Most recently we ate lunch on the terrace here on market day. It was bustling, and offers a great vantage point for people-watching. The menu du marchÃ© is excellent value - really fresh ingredients, beautifully presented, and tasty. The portion size is not so big that you can't manage three courses if you want to. They cater well for kids, with homemade nuggets or a fillet of fish and potatoes or vegetables followed by ice cream. The environment is smart without being pretentious. This is my local and I am delighted that it exists. In the evening, the food is a little more expensive, but the quality remains excellent and so it offers good value for money.

Having been here once before and been very impressed this visit was a bit disappointing. Despite the drop in temperature - this was back in mid-September - the proprietor basically insisted we sit outside on the terrace, which isn't especially agreeable anyway slap bang as it is to a main road. The glass of Vacqueyras blanc was a hefty and enjoyable mouthful but pretty much gulped down just so we could escape to the warmth of a nearby restaurant. I know that this proprietor knows his wines very well; let us leave it at that.

This place was recommended by our local hotel as being authentically French with home cooked food, and it was certainly popular with the locals on a Wednesday evening, not remotely touristy. We found the food to be good enough, though perhaps rather forgettable. The two young ladies who served us seemed rushed off their feet - their service was fine, but they didn't seem to have the time for anything more than the basics. Being summer we ate outside on a packed terrace, where it seemed every other person was smoking. As the tables were so close together we had no option but to breathe a lot of smoke throughout our meal. Very frustrating, and hard to blame the restaurant for this, but it meant we didn't return the next two nights we were in town.Our modest meal and one bottle of good wine totalled â¬91.

Very friendly owner who has owned the business for 6 months or so. Nothing too much trouble even though we were 2 weary travelers looking for a place to stay later in the evening. What a revelation Starter plate was truly excellent and extremely nicely prepared. The Tuna with salad - I have never had such a beautifully cooked fish or such excellent tastes to go with it. Michelin star would not be out of place for such a dish. The wine selection was in a very good price range and we had a fine viogner for not a lot of money. Good luck to this owner and his staff!

I ordered cured meat tapas, I was served a pre-sliced, fridge-cold HUGE portion of meat. Obviously, the meat was stuck together and dry. The cheese tapas and the bread were good.As main I chose something from the specials board. Mushroom tagliatelle. I received a hideous dish of tagliatelle floating in some awful liquid (see pic).Very disappointed.Thank you for your message.We owe you an apologize for the meal. Weâre sorry you didnât like it.
