Authenticity is the key for us at the Old Hamburg Schnitzelhaus™, and we strive to bring you the best in traditional German and Austrian cuisine. Our menu includes various versions of schnitzel, roasts, sausages, potato pancakes, brats and of course, German Gemutlichkeit (German hospitality). No question, we only serve the best German beers and wines. The atmosphere at the Schnitzelhaus™ is like what Anna Maria Island is for Florida: Fun, laid back, simply “gemutlich”. Come hang out and enjoy yourself on one of the wooden tables or by enjoying a or two beers or wines at the bar. Schnitzelhaus™ is the “Wirtshaus” where you gather with your friends, your date or even your grandmother. All are welcome, and all are encouraged to stay a while. We, the owners of the Schnitzelhaus™, are proud of what the Old Hamburg Schnitzelhaus™ Team started bringing to the Island some 15 years ago. We want to keep their heritage and take the German spirit on Anna Maria Island up to new generations. So all will know what German food and spirit stands for in today’s world and what it means to enjoy a fantastic Schnitzelhaus™ night.
Tasty, authentic German food and beer. However, service was ridiculous. Bread is served one slice at a time, as if rationed. Three different people, including the owner tried to take our bread plates and butter away from us. In class restaurants, you’re asked “would you like more bread.” This place pretends to be welcoming, but but the staff is intrusive and controlling. We will NOT go back.

Comfy inside: tables for laptop work, big cushion chairs, soft background music, books on shelves to browse, and spacious. Coffee average. My cappuccino did not overwhelm. All the standard coffee drinks available but no special “coffee of the day” type brews to choose from. Attractive pastries available in glass case. Server sported a bit of attitude. Some outdoor seating. Still a pleasant place to hang out and read the assortment of papers stacked on the coffee table in front.

Serving breakfast and lunch for over 20 years! Open daily from 6AM to 2:30PM, closed on Christmas Day and Thanksgiving. Locally owned and operated, stop in today and find out why we call ourselves fast, fresh, and friendly!
Saw all the great ratings for Peaches so we stopped in one morning during our stay on AMI. Had a very friendly server and had an excellent breakfast. Four different breakfast meals and everyone agreed they were very, very good. Though quite busy there was no attempt to hurry us on our way. High marks for that. An excellent place to stop for breakfast, and I would imagine their lunch would be equally good. Another place I will happily return.

We went this week for my fathers birthday with 4 other couples. Sean was very nice to accommodate a party of 10. First of all I want to say the service was impeccable! Sarah did a fantastic job with our large, sometimes demanding, group. I had the salmon app which was unbelievable! Must order again! My friend said the seared scallops in bouillabaisse sauce was great. I can’t describe every meal because it would take too long but the restaurant never disappoints. We had the bouillabaisse, food heaven, lamb, shrimp and duck. Everyone loved their meal! Always try to come when we are in town. I want to try the Dr. Office next!

This restaurant is in a strip mall, but don’t let that keep you away. The seafood is fresh caught and the dishes are delicious. We started with escargot and a beet salad, both were excellent. We both had the grilled hogfish with Brussels sprouts. Accompanied by a nice bottle of Acrobat Pinot Gris, this was a memorable experience

Breakfast just the way I like it. Good food, presented well and reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere. If you're the gregarious type, try the community table. Open for breakfast and lunch ... cash only.

Eat Here offers chef-driven, American artisan cookery. An emphasis on local product and fresh Gulf seafood served in presentations suitable for sharing and tasting. A casual neighborhood place, with a community table, featuring craft beers and wines. On Anna Maria Island.
Our recent dinner here was very disappointing due primarily to amateur service. The quality of the food continues to impress but our server was so bad on his delivery. Initially, he served my husband’s salad significantly ahead of my shrimpcargots which was somewhat surprising but it was a very big salad so I caught up. Things then went from bad to worse as he brought our main courses before we had finished our appetizers. We indicated we were not ready for our next course yet ( which was pretty obvious) and he returned them to the kitchen. Unfortunately, by the time we had finished our first courses and he re- delivered the shrimp tacos, they were no longer hot. A better server or restaurant would have replaced the tacos with a fresh order. The waiter kept apologizing and blaming the kitchen which didn’t help us enjoy our dinner. We felt so rushed - in fact, I think we out in 40 minutes.
