My wife and myself go here occasionally. The tearoom upstairs is generally enough to discourage the mobs of young mothered with pushchairs. The husband and wife team are charming and friendly. The lardy cake is to die for. I cannot resist it. Everything about this place is great.

Based at the Avonfield Gardens site in Hilperton, Avonfield Kitchen is a highly reputable and busy cafe serving restaurant-quality contemporary British cafe food with a twist. Especially renowned for our cakes and bakes which are made fresh every morning
We sat under a canopy in the warm Sunday mid-morning sunshine waiting for our ordered coffee accompanied by a slice of chocolate brownie, whilst catching up with family matters ......our HOT coffeeâs were served with the brownie which was truly scrumptious. The atmosphere was great, with others enjoying the company of friends and family alike. There were large tables for 8 as well as tables for 2. Breakfast as well as lunches were being served. It was wonderful to drink a hot cappuccino rather than a warm one you often get served in other coffee places.

Had a lovely lunch with very friendly staff! Debs served us today and made us feel very welcome, as it was our first visit she explained the loyalty card and advised us on what they offer to large parties. Food and drink was amazing we will be back again soon :)

Farm Shop and cafe in the Wiltshire countryside offering freshly cooked fresh food daily. A range of food available from sandwiches and soup to ham, egg and chips, and on a Sunday we offer a superb Sunday Roast. The shop offers a butcher department, fruit
Great value ploughmans's and though wife's eastern veggie flatbread thing was tasty it was odd to have cold veg on a hot pitta. Lovely spot but everything from the condiments station to the loos were a bit grubby. And I didn't bother mentioning it because a member of staff was in the loo just before me. Deli counter worth a look - great pies, Bertinet bread and wonderful IOW tomatoes. In fact just stock up for a picnic and be happy

Merkins Farm Cafe is set in the heart of the Wiltshire Countryside, and enjoys panoramic views. Start the day with one of our delicious breakfasts, or pop in for lunch, where you can choose from the set menu, or one of the days freshly prepared Specials.
It was four years since we came here and was as good as we remembered. Lovely outside seating. Lots of inside seating too. The breakfast was superb. Staff very friendly and helpful. The sausages and bacon were top standard. Wonât leave it so long next time.

Unless you're a favoured regular who happens to be known by those serving, you'll wait a fair while before anyone gives you any attention. When we first moved here I remember asking (on a visit without a dog) whether it was dog friendly and I remember well the tone in which that woman spoke to me. I bothered to try again recently with a friend, and that same couldn't care less for your custom attitude. Won't ever come back but doubt that they give two hoots... which is probably why it's almost always empty now when I'm passing, because there are many better places in Melksham now.

A multi-award winning Licensed Cafe with Village larder and Post Office in Whitley, Wiltshire serving as a Community Hub with all welcome.
We called here for ice creams after a countywide walk. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. There's a little farm shop attached to the cafe that has local produce available, including the ice creams mentioned above. Nice place that is be happy to return to or to recommend to others.

Little Italian bistro, we served Coffee's Teas,Salad,Baguettes,Omelettes, Soup,Home made Cakes, Pastas(special)and more.. Dog friendly .now ice cream available
No, I'm not referring to the owner (although, to be fair he's not that heavy). I am, in fact addressing the qualities of the incredible, delicious omelettes served in this amazing eatery. Our meal was concluded with two distinctly desserts in the form of Coconut Gateau and a mind blowing, authentic cannolo siciliano and italian cappucino. Has to be tried to understand this top quality fare.

We always go here on a Saturday morning for breakfast after the Melksham Park Run. We pre book a table as it gets busy. We normally go for the small breakfast and you can choose which items you'd like. The breakfast are always cooked to perfection. you can take your dog too which I sometimes do. I would highly recommend.
