We had lunch here on a very wet Saturday after a week of perfect indigo blue skies. The lunch certainly made up for the weather. The menu choices are excellent and typical of the area.Be hungry. I'm unsure if there is an English translation of the menu but ask for clarification if needed. I'm not fluent in German but managed the menu and conversation with the waitress and always good to practise. We were both very pleased with our choices - good quality and well priced. Very busy at lunchtime. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Viertal wein (small carafe)is ok quality wise - if drinking more probably best to go for a bottle.

We visited twice over the new year holiday. Fantastic value for money and really nice decorations for Christmas. No complaints over food or service although we were there during the peak season so perhaps they had extra staff on.
I would recommend this to anyone in Gaschurn. It was certainly the best VFM food we ate in that week.

Family of 7, close to 9pm when the Kitchen would normally shut, early January just after New Year. Simply excellent. Good service, and food of the highest quality. Not particularly expensive either. Would definitely recommend and we will return next year. Thanks !

But avoid the main lunch time when it can get crowded

Every year when I visit my family in Vorarlberg Austria, the first place I go out to eat is the Montanella Stobli. The restaurant is situated on the side of a mountain overlooking beautiful views of the Austrian alps. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy. The decor is a perfect example of Ausrian craftsmanship: solid carved wooden Montafoner furniture and wooden beams, fresh flowers adorne all the tables, and a large cozy fireplace. The attention to little details make this a unique establishment. The bar is beautiful and of course there is a Kachel Ofen! The owners are always around either serving or saying a friendly hello. The menu is typical Austrian foods like Schnitzle, Spatzle or Goulasch. There is something for every one on the menu. The food is amazing. Good quality, perfect portion sizes and beautifully presented. The dessert menu is a must try, especially the Strudel! The owner is called the Strudel Queen for a reason. The Strudel is out of this world! Try the Strudel trio: three generous sizes of different Strudel. The establishment is child-friendly and has a non-smoking section.

After a 9-mile hike over Versettla and Madrisella, we staggered into this friendly outdoor mountain bar at around 4.00pm. But lunch was still available, and we had an excellent and reviving goulasch soup. The party was already in full swing, with plenty of raucous toasts, celebrating the day's achievements in the hills. Great atmosphere, surrounded by cows with bells, and just around the corner from the chairlift back down to the valley.

Food was tasty but no better than any pizza/ pasta restaurant, thought staff seemed very uninterested, service was a bit slow but that doesn't bother us as we like to sit and chat over a meal. It was busy but I suppose that's because of its situation and there is not too many restaurants to choose from. Average food, average prices and average service, no complaints but also no big compliments.

Outstanding friendly service for us and the three kids (1,3,9). Drawing stuff, extra plates, free scoop ice cream for dessert, etc. Food is very nice in classic Austrian cuisine style. Will certainly recommend.

This is restaurant, discoteque and bar. Interior is normally decorated. The service here is ok. There are lot of burger dishes and austrian dishes. The quality of the taste is not that good for the price you pay for the burger here. The dessert here is not good at all. Two in the group got stomoch problems and these two had chocholate icecream for the dessert. Ok staff, but not so good food here

This bar is on the way back to our hotel, Sport hotel, in Gaschurn. We enjoyed the shots at happy hour from 16:30 to 17:30 on our first night and agin from 21:00 to 22:00 on our last night when the music was also great. Even though almost out of season the bar still had some life!
