Elliot Lake is a city in Algoma District, Ontario, Canada. It is north of Lake Huron, midway between the cities of Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie in the Northern Ontario region. Once dubbed the "uranium capital of the world," Elliot Lake has since diversified to a hub for forest harvesting, mine reclamation expertise and manufacturing, exporting glass awards and telescoping equipment for mining. In addition, Elliot Lake is now known as a place for affordable retirement living, waterfront cottage lots and as a four-season destination.

We had always been told that the Maple Restaurant served very poor Chinese food so we never ordered. However, our neighbours ordered from them and said the food was good. Consequently, we ordered and I have to say it was the very worst Chinese food I have ever had

Putter's is a bistro-style casual dining restaurant. We feature an all day lunch/dinner menu with an emphasis on fresh, housemade fare. Relax and unwind with a drink on the patio, veranda or inside in the dining room, all overlooking Ryan Lake and the 18th green at the Stone Ridge Golf Course.
me and mother have eaten here on several occasions and we have never been disappointed yet great food and good service, the only complaint I had is once we chose to leave because we had been sitting there and sitting there and hadn't been served

The FireSide Classic Grill is a modern hang out with great food and drinks in a great atmosphere. The FireSide Classic Grill continues a long tradition of bringing people together to enjoy great food and good times in Elliot Lake. Ed Blahey built the Algoden Hotel in 1957 and was proud to see his commitment to quality customer service and community pride continue when Andrew Young opened the FireSide Restaurant in the former Algoden. Andrew brings the same quality standards and community pride to the new FireSide Classic Grill. The menu and the look may have changed, but the FireSide still operates on the long held promise of great food and good times for everyone that loves Elliot Lake.
Had an evening meal there recently, my husband had the liver and bacon and declared it the best liver dinner he's ever had. I had the taco salad and loved it. Crowd seem to be regulars, and atmosphere nice and relaxing.glad to hear you enjoyed your dinner with us and thanks for reviewing.

Flavorful crust, fresh toppings and love the garlic dipping sauce. Excellent pricing on their specialty pies with online ordering. Had a disappointing pie once but they made amends the next time around and I have not had a repeat. We don't eat pizza often but when we do it's only from Toppers.

Had a great breakfast at Mum's Place. The food came fast, the service was friendly and the prices are very good. It's very clean and well kept and has lots of regular locals so you know it's always good.

I visited this restaurant last weekend for the second time and was disappointed. The server was slow and the food took forever to be served and the quality was mediocre at best. We didn't enjoy a good portion of it which was wasted.
I had been there a year prior and the food on that occasion was good so perhaps it just happened to be an off night. Maybe we will give it another try when we visit again

Our lounge is a great place to relax with family, friends, and a good meal. A deck with a panoramic view of the lake offers outdoor dining in the spring, summer and fall seasons. Special order catering is also available for groups. We also offer a take-out menu for busy families or group picnics on the grounds.
Went to Dunlop Lake Lodge for Thanksgiving buffet/brunch and was very disappointed. We have eaten at Dunlop Lake Lodge on many occasions and always found the food to be excellent so our expectations were high. There was a good selection of food at the buffet but unfortunately most of the items were either cold or lacked flavouring. The vegetables and Turkey were cold. The muffin on the Eggs Benedict was so hard you could not cut it. At first I thought that it was just mine but then the others at the table had the same complaint. Unfortunately we left feeling very disappointed. We will go back to the Dunlop Lake Lodge restaurant just not for a buffet.

Georges a comfort food restaurant with friendly staff and scratch cooking nothing pre fab here and yes George is the chef...private dinning/banquet room with over 200 seats...Georges always has something happening...Friday Night Dinner Buffet and Sunday Brunch Worth a visit when in Elliot Lake
George's Restaurant is an older building but they have done some renovating. My friend and I went for lunch. The food was very good and at a reasonable price. You definitely don't leave hungry as you get quite a big portion of food. The menu has a variety of choices and they also have a special of the day. This restaurant also has a buffet on Friday nights and Sunday brunch. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Will go again.

Visiting the new Mall and in the lovely new area in the Centre Mall is this amazing Cafe! Breakfast special, or bagel, toast, etc. Lunch specials, from wraps to grilled Sandwich. A cooler was filled with fresh egg and tuna sandwiches, fruit salad, excellent muffins, squares, cookies and even a pie! Lovely roasted fresh coffee, lattes, and teas! You can also purchase teas, coffee, and nice little candy treats!
Super staff, wonderfully clean and visited twice in a week! Great job!
