In town for a celebration tonight, and happened upon this charming, little cafe on a side street. The sandwiches are fresh and generous and the baked goods are to die for! Seems like a place where "everyone knows your name!" Great little find!

Updating my review from a few years ago...The food was delicious. I had the eggplant rollatini and my dad had gotten a rib eye special. Both were quite hearty portions. Our server was such a sweet woman. She was very friendly, kind and treated us...MoreThank you so much for the kind words! We very much appreciate the feedback. We only wish we knew who this gem of a waitress is, kudos to her!! We are delighted she accommodated you during your visit.

A coffee shop is known more for its clerks than its coffee, but the coffee is good too. Easy access in and out of the parking area. Lots of seating, and quiet atmosphere.

Delicious chocolates, made in-house I believe, in a sweet little sweet shop not to be missed in downtown Cazenovia! Would definitely recommend stopping in if you're a sweets person, and especially if you're a chocolate person!

Empire Farm Brewery opened its doors in 2016. The 40,000 sq. ft. building is situated on 22 acres of virgin farmland. The objective of the Empire Farm Brewery is to expand the existing brewing facility and agricultural component of Empire Brewing Company to a stand-alone manufacturing and agritourism facility in Cazenovia, NY. The 60 BBL brewery has allowed Empire to keg, bottle, and can their craft beer for regional, national and international distribution. The farm has been cultivated for hops, lavender, vegetables, herbs and fruits. A farm apiary, or "E-piary" will generate Empire's very own estate honey. These crops are being used in award winning Empire ales and lagers, as well as in food preparation at both the Cazenovia and Syracuse locations.
very nice facilities in a beautiful setting. food was a bit over pricey and limited in selection.
The place was so loud we had to eat and run. couldn't carry on a conversation because of the acoustics. very cute cashier at the food center. the gorgeous gas with the yahoo on her left shoulder. wish I got her number. I'll return just because of her!!!

We had never been to the brea loch inn so we thought we would go for there prime rib/ seafood buffet on a Thursday night. We made a reservation for 730 and we had no trouble getting seated when we got there. We asked to be seated outside but when we got to our table we were 10ft from the road and the noise of the cars was not pleasant. So we asked to go inside. There was 2 other parties of 2 inside and the rest of the restaurant was empty. I ordered an Innis and Gunn ale and the waitress came back and said they were all out. I was looking forward to that beer it is hard to find. We both got the buffet and we were both kind of disappointed. They had a lot of salad and fillers but not a lot of entree items. Yes they had prime rib and it was good but not a lot else. They had perl and eat cold shrimp and a cold salmon fillet. They had steamed mussels and a few steamed clams but they were hard to get. They had a couple of different pastas and sauces. We just were not a fan of the food.
The restaurant is in drastic need of a remodel inside and out. The place is very very old.
Our waitress must have been new because she was terrible. I know we got the buffet but I would like to see our waitress once in awhile. We asked another waitress for our bill. Our waitress brought it to us and I would not let her leave without taking my credit card. I was afraid she would disappear again. We will not be trying this restaurant again but there is a couple more in caz I would like to try.

Wife had yogurt granola. Solid. We would recommend adding fruit to it though. I had spinach and feta omelet with gluten free toast. The GF toast wast the best I have had.

When it's nice outside, sit outside. The inside is also lovely, but when there is entertainment, you can't talk because it's too loud. The food is mostly good but some menu items are much better than others. The crab cakes are surprisingly deelish since Cazenovia is not near a coast. The burger sliders are very good, too. I also enjoy the French onion soup and steak salad on greens although greens are a bit skimpy. You have to learn the menu and be selective. Wine is of course good and very reasonably priced by the glass or bottle.
