Wombles is a destination restaurant which comfortably caters for corporate groups whilst simultaneously accommodating intimate diners.
Perfect ambient, perfect service, perfect food!
Located in Bryanston, this restaurant shows the old colonial ambient. And it's huge. Outside you have a fireplace.
The service is extra ordinary. Three different waiters were responsible for our table. And each waiter was a specialist in his profession and high motivated.
We tried the Kudu-fillet, the ordinary beef and several types of carpaccio. Absolute perfect!
Good wine and a good whisky were offered too.
We will come back, definitely.

Punchinello’s Restaurant offers Venetian cuisine and a variety of wonderful dishes using the flavours of the Mediterranean as the inspiration with an emphasis on freshness of ingredients and simplicity in the recipe preparation and presentation.
Always good food, excellent service from the bar & Terrace staff to the restaurant staff, excellent chefs - this restaurant is consistently good. They can easily boast serving of the best steak in Johannesburg . We visit them at least twice a month, every month. It would be really nice to see a new and revised menu with some new exciting dishes, it’s been the same menu for many months now. The chef is very creative at Punchinellos and his skills should not be hidden.

Had a very relaxing dinner with my wife. Great live jazz background music with fantastic views.
Calamari stater and shushi were fantastic!! Lamb rump was okay, I had the duck orange before which I my view is there signature dish! Coffee and desert good! Service always good and staff very attentive .
Best wine list in Jhb, but expect to pay top $!
Wine glasses are Riedel so worth spending on a expensive wine.
Well done! Signature is a special place regardless being expensive!!

Restaurant Is On Main Rd In Randburg Just Near The Magistrates Courts And Opposite The School. Cnr Of Main Rd And Oxford Rd
This is a very authentic Portuguese restaurant. The owner is omnipresent and makes a genuine attempt to ensure that the menu is explained to you. There are some very traditional Portuguese dishes such as goat, Bacalhau and various pork dishes. The best selection of Portuguese wines in South Africa. Recommended.

Chaplin’s found its roots in Melville since 1980 and Rainold Petersen who moved to Hurlingham in 2012, changed the name to Chaplin’s Grill in tribute to his legendary Melville-based bistro – a gem amidst the fine dining establishments of Joburg in the 80′ & 90′s. At Chaplin’s Grill Rainold revives, within a contemporary dining context, his passion for delivering a superior product of Food, Wine, Beer and exemplary service with a trademark hands-on approach.
Most delicious fillet steak, superb sauces, starters, Deserts. Service top notch. Great wine list. Little pricy, but as a treat worth every penny. Oh and the bread they bring before you order is just wow! Very hard to do low carb diet when you taste...MoreThank Yyiu Martina P, hope to see you again soon!

We merge the classic and the contemporary to create fusion between food and culture for a new South African palate. We're at the Nicolway Shopping Centre, Bryanston
The food is of excellent quality. The service is superb. Our ambassador Teddy was very attentive without being intrusive. I would come back here often. The kingklip lamb shank and bunny chow were delectable. Will definitely be back.

We had open sandwiches, which although delicious were not exactly gourmet. We also had chocolate brownies which were amazing! The let down is the service though which seemed lazy and inefficient. We had a very long time at each stage of service. I would like to give the restaurant another try soon but it's probably best to stick to the sweet menu only.

I am all about the experience not just the food or the ambience - here all the boxes are ticked time and time again! the staff are lovely, the menu is extensive and caters I think for all types of palates and preferences, the ambience is pleasant and relaxed and you can literally park right outside.

LBV, which opened in December 2013, has become a Bryanston neighbourhood institution. Since Chef Darren and his partner Lisa became partners in the business they have adopted the culture of the upmarket restaurant while incorporating their own fine dining experience to bring a truly unique offering to the JHB market… A la carte fine dining! The South African born duo broadened their horizons after 5 years at the helm of Cube Tasting Kitchen with a worldwide culinary journey in which they discovered new techniques, trends and flavour combinations that you will find on the restaurant’s seasonal menu.
We visited Lbv in late February for a family celebratory dinner. The setting was a little underwhelming but we could not fault the food quality and service. The menu whilst not huge offered something for all tastes. Our meals were delicious and presentation of food was excellent. Drinks menu also offered a wide range of choice. Our waiter for the evening was attentive, friendly and extremely efficient. His table service was seemless, everything done without even knowing he was there.
This was our first visit and It did not disappoint.
