We made a evening of it. Were staying at the Peninsula and took a few minutes on the boat to arrive at The Mandarin where the restaurant is. Most gracious and excellent service. The sommelier was enthusiastic and knowledgeable without being supercilious. The courses on the tasting menu excellent. The views of the river beautiful. We were very happy we did this.

I wasn't here for a few month but this Restaurant will never disappoint you. The Italian Chef has changed but the food quality is still amazing, shows the highest quality of well selected Italian items and ingredients and the Buffet Lunch Selection including the legendary Pizza Mascarpone is perfect as always. Could the first course "Thai prawn salad" still convince with its wonderful flavors, the next two courses were absolutely disappointing. The „Thai chicken salad" was pretty much the most boring one that we ever ate in a Thai restaurant.
In a simple food stall you can certainly get a much tastier salad.
Then the "Thai beef salad" was served without any culinary refinement and above all cold. From a "Royal Thai Cuisine" restaurant you can expect the beef to be freshly grilled and added sliced to the salad. Marinated only briefly the dish should be served lukewarm.
Our salad tasted as if it had been standing around for a few hours. When we complained, we were told that they are actually unable to prepare a fresh salad according to the Royal Thai Cuisine recipy.
Even though the dessert "mango with sticky rice" was ok, it annoyed us immensely to have wasted a valuable evening in Bangkok with Thara Thong. The service by the way corresponded mostly with the tasteless food.

It was pure happenstance. I was staying at the Grand Hyatt and felt too lazy go leave the hotel. Well, I pat myself on the shoulder, because I came across a very nice place. Top-quality service to begin with. Very nice lay out: tables distanced one from the other, adding to the pleasure of privacy (true, I was on my own...). The menu is not overwhelming, in that it doesn’t include an endless list of dishes (more often than not, the chef doesn’t have a clue on too many of the dishes) and well-balanced: veggies, meat, fish. Only one observation: my red snapper could have been more fresh). Actually, another one: I would import less (take the mussels, for example) from the North Sea and more from the Mediterranean: the fish tastes better (the Mediterranean has more salt). Other than that, a perfect evening!

I came to Nami restaurant on a special occasion as my father's birthday. I was absolutely happy and satisfied with both the food and the service here. The food here is amazing with many course meals, starting with the appetizer and then it builds up. The appetizer is usually seafood, such as tiger prawns or shells. The tiger prawns are just amazing with juicy meat and delicious flavor. The main course offers different types of high quality beef, ranging from Angus beef to Wagyu beef. The service is also amazing, with the chef cooking right in front of us. The chef is amiable and he offers us to try cooking if we want to. However, the meal is rather pricey. Personally I think I would only eat here on special occasions. One meal costs around sixteen hundred to twenty nine hundred baht. However, I would say that I had an amazing experience here.

Used this restaurant as part BB Anantara Riverside Hotel. The Resturant is split into 2 sections indoor and outdoor Terrace overlooking the Chaophraya river. Good variety of buffet style breakfast. With differing stations for all worldwide cuisines. Really enjoyed my early morning breakfast here, very tranquil and quite.
