The seminary is located on the site of the Monastery of the Holy Trinity, founded by Patriarch Photius I almost a thousand years before the foundation of the theological school. In 1844, Patriarch Germanos IV converted the monastery into a school of theology, which was inaugurated on 1 October 1844. The facilities include the Chapel of the Holy Trinity, dormitories and the school's library.

When you go to island there are few thing to do besides eating and drinking at restaurants.Going to "Kalpazankaya bay beach", Walking tour around island, visiting "Sait Faik Abasiyanik" museum, horse carrier tour around island( I am protesting the activity due to the horses life condition and situation). Walking tour is very good and healty for everybody without climbing part of the tour. You can reach to " kalpazankaya coast" and return back to start point using same route. Than after light sport you can go to sea food restaurant .

This is the house where the second president of Republic of Turkey spent first his summers and later, major part of his life. Today it serves as a museum and is run by the İnönü Foundation, established by his children. The entrance is for free and it can be visited every day except Mondays from 10 am to 6 pm.
This is a house with classical island architecture, a modest place with modest decoration. Fine samples of art deco style are everywhere in the house. Photographies in display demonstrate not only the ordinary family life but also the important events of the world and of the country during İsmet İnönü's presidency during which he played a major role.
I highly recommend this museum as it gives both a chance to have a glimpse of 1940s and 1950s daily life and have an understanding of modest presidency of those years.

Spring is the best season. I walked in the woods past the old Greek Orthodox cemetery, circled the entire island. Beautiful old wooden houses, great views from the streets at the top of the island. Visited the Wednesday market which is still quiet in April. The island is extremely busy in the summer. My favorite of all the Princes Islands.

Hüseyin Rahmi Gürpınar Museum is located in Heybeliada (one of the Princess Islands in Marmara Sea) in İstanbul. He is one of the most known and important story and novel writers in Turkish literatüre,therefore it is very good opportunity to see his house and belongings at this nicely protected home&museum while visiting the island.Road to the house is a little bit uphill through some forest and you will like the scenery very much.

We hoped on the ferry from Kabatas - an easy hour on the IDO ferry - and walked to Ada from the port at Heybeliada expecting a delightful beach retreat...which it probably was 10 years ago. It is badly in breed of re-fit.
Note, it is a 45-60 minute walk from the port, or rent a bicycle/catch a horse drawn carriage.
Frankly, the place was falling apart, which is impressive for a few paths, a deck chair platform and a few pier lights. The loos were pretty bad and the main bar building had little to offer. They do not provide towels and the sun bed cushions have seen much better days.
This place could be fantastic - it is stuffed with potential but a total lack of maintenance or disinterest has led it to this appalling state...for which they still insist on charging 40TL (~£11-12). The beers changed price everything I bought one, but this wasn't like haggling at the Grand Bazaar.
Until they invest in the potential...AVOID.

Very easy to reach at the island by boats departing from Bostancı pier in Kadıköy of Asian side, this small island has many things to offer, like nice Beaches with always light breeze, small restaurants and cafes to cater all yr needs at different price categories, lots of small and narrow roads which will take you through island's different places with some amazing views.
Of course, prices of the eateries for fish and sea food are on the high side,
as price level of fish is always expensive at restaurants in any part of İstanbul,so also here,at the island's restaurants you can not eat at medium price level for fish. But it is worth to try once if you are able to afford it during yr tour in the island. You can also take one of the Horse carriages in order to make a tour through island which is very good way of exploring the island if you do not walk it around in about 75 to 90 minutes.Strongly recommended to have a tour in this island.Very good option.
