My husband and I booked 3 tours with arch tours, the fatala game reserve with sheriff, the makasuta cultural forest with maimuna and the camel safari with fantau (can't remember the spelling correctly sorry!!)
each one was amazing!!!
We were one the same tour as zoe m below and actually saw them on paradise beach a couple of days later while they were doing 4 in 1 one and us the camel safari.
Each tour was amazing in their own way and would definitely go again if we go back. The drivers were lovely and just a really perfect time. Sheriff really made us feel relaxed in the hustle and bustle of the ferry ride when it was packed!!
Mianuna was brilliant and hilarious and friendly and fantau was an Amazing guide and even held a snake at the reptile farm!! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!

Kotu Beach loverly sands, no busters, beach now cleared of beach boys without permits. Plenty of sunbeds. Be careful of the undercurrent in the sea. That's dangerous.

Next to that is Palm Beach Hotel.
Next to it is Reynolds Bar.

An amazing experience and a must-do...to touch a crocodile is a truly fantastic thing and they are not 'crunchy'!!! Look out for the gigantic 'elephant tree'...it's something else

This park contains a wide variety of birds.
Basically a small forest where the uneducated selfish tourist can come and ruin the local "wildlife" with the encouragement of the local guides/bumsters.
I wonder what the now totally dependent "friendly" monkeys eat in the low season when the selfish tourists are trashing somewhere else.
To anyone who has a photo of themselves or the family feeding the "friendly" monkeys peanuts if you'd like a photo of what these monkeys look like once people like you leave please drop me a line and I'll forward one to you. Be aware though I don't think you'd use words such as delightful or friendly to describe them anymore, but what do you care you've got your shot to show them down the pub.

Black and White Safari is a fully registered, insured and licensed Ground Tour Operator that is established to show tourist round within the country and beyond so they can see the real and esisting way of gambian people live ,like the culture, tradition, history and also the beautiful land scape of the Gambia and to explore on the very navigable river. The other important main objective of Black and White Safari is to encourage tourist to spend locally also by supporting local shchools and the communities. Therefore if you want to explore and see more about the Gambia in a very comfortable and relaxing adventure with no rush ,hassle free and more educative, use our services.
My Mum, my brother and I went to George Town with Lamin at Black & White Safari Tours. Lamin is a lovely man and is very knowledgeable, we learnt so much about The Gambia from him and enjoyed his company so much that we requested him for our next trip to Fathala National Park and the Roots tour. We would recommend Black & White Safari Tours to anybody visiting the Gambia. Armstrong and his team are extremely professional and can't do enough for you. They're willing to fit the trips around you and what you want to do, for example they squeezed the Fathalla Park and Roots tour into one day for us as we were only there for 1 werk and didnt have enough time to do everything we wanted to do. The groups are small and personal (to George Town was just the 3 of us and Lamin and Bax the driver) and an amazing experience. One tip, take lots of pens, pencils, paper etc for the children in the villages. It is not the same villages receiving gifts over and over again, we visited villages that rarely ever have visitors as there are so many along the way. I only wish we had taken more gifts as the look on the faces of the children and their families is life changing. I will definitely return to the Gambia and use Black & White Safari for any trips we do. :)

At 9 am the fishing boats go out to sea for the day at 4pm they return and the Bakau Fishing Market is open for business. Go to Bakau Guest House Iiagrasroculteexperietrulyamazing!!!!
Great place to visit but do so with a guide and negotiate the price hard! In the middle of the market you feel a million mile away from the tourist areas and with a guide we felt very safe.

Our short walk could best be described as something to do as opposed to doing nothing. A few baboons provided brief entertainment but there wasn't much more. Four of us travelling independently visited and there were no music, dance or other Performances. We all agreed that what we saw was was available and that the information and/or entertainment content was minimal to non-existent.
30 minute boat ride through mangrove forest was relaxing but virtually no information was provided regarding the forest, water, birds, or anything else of the few things we saw.

A very warm welcome to The Gambia – the smiling coast of West Africa – from your personal, professional tour guide Modou Barry. The Gambia, the smallest country on Mainland Africa, is just six hours away from major European destinations and being on the same time zone you will not experience any jet lag. It is an increasingly popular and affordable winter destination, attracting visitors.
They are out of town but will pick you up. The old Landrover 110 work horse but well prepared and a well informed driver. For me a go along see and rest of party had an excellent trip out. Price very reasonable compared to some,

We had a great day together with a guide name Malcolm. The trip itself was nicely organized, with good cars and convenient times. We even had a big cool-box with soft drinks. Malcolm is a professional, very friendly and knowledgeable guide. Definitely worth recommending!
